EARLIER: Victorian COVID-19 daily cases numbers have dipped in the past 24 hours giving a glimmer of hope the lockdown in regional areas can end late next week.
There were 64 cases recorded with 15 not yet linked to known outbreaks and 28 infectious while in the community.
A total of 35,753 vaccines administered and 55,333 test results received.
The state recorded 79 cases the previous day.
Shepparton remains a major area of concern with another seven cases confirmed overnight.
The cluster total has grown to 85, but in a positive development an Echuca case reported on Friday was declared a "false positive".
The state's current lockdown is due to end on Thursday.
