However this season finishes, it's been a fantastic learning curve for Osborne ruckman Nick Madden.
In his first full year of senior football, the 17-year-old has played 10 games and not tasted defeat once.
"It's been a great year, winning consistently and playing with good people," Madden said.
"It's a lot harder than 17s but I've been able to play some alright footy.
"I've developed my ruck craft a bit more, getting better at my hit-outs and working with the midfielders.

"You learn lots playing with the more experienced players and Jamie Parr's a big one for me.
"I idolise him. He's such a good player and I look up to him a lot.
"He used to be a ruckman but now he's moved forward a bit.

"He's given me some good guidance and helped me out at times. He's good like that.
"It's been such a good season for us, so hopefully something gets going.
"I can understand why other competitions have been cancelled but it would be really disappointing if the same thing happened to us after such a good year."
