Industry Super Australia is pushing the federal government to pay super on federal parental leave and has done analysis over the past decade.
It shows if super was paid to mothers in Farrer it would have amounted to $10.7 million and in Indi it would total $8.7 million.

The body's advocacy director Georgia Brumby said if super was paid on Commonwealth parental leave it would reduce the gender gap on retirement savings.
"It's hard enough trying to juggle work and raising a family, it's not fair thousands of women are also being slugged with this hidden pregnancy tax on their super as well," she said.
The government has not ruled out acting on the issue, but Superannuation Minister Jane Hume said the impact of reforms to paid parental leave in 2020 needed to be assessed.
"Given the disruptions to Australia's workforce due to COVID-19, we have not seen the full impact of these reforms since they were proclaimed," she said.
"It would be remiss of the government to make further changes without proper consideration of the changes already made."
