The 23-year-old had planned not to take to the field this year, but after the heartbreak of the 2019 grand final, she decided to have one last try.
"To redeem ourselves would be fantastic," she said.
The wait is now on to see if NSW and Victorian restrictions ease in time for Raiders and Lavington to meet in the North East Border Female Football League senior final.
Growing up in Corryong, football and netball have always been big parts of Findlay's life.
However, she admits times have changed in the Upper Murray League.
"When I was growing up every kid was involved and there was no choice not to be involved," she said.
"Every winter everyone would be at the footy on a Saturday.
"These days it's certainly not the same and I think it's sad for young kids."
Findlay spent most of her netball career with Federals as both a player and coach, but also had a season in the Ovens and Murray League with Wodonga Bulldogs.

While she had decided to take a step back from netball this season due to work commitments, she found herself on the court once again.
"I said I was retiring from netball, but I ended up playing two games," she said.
"I spent most of my time at Federals, but I also played a couple of games for Walwa and Corryong.
"I was more of the belief that we should be able to play where we want.
"If some teams are struggling for numbers, there's no point stacking one side, it just doesn't make for much of a competition."
Findlay's other passion is horses, often travelling to compete in western discipline events when she can.
As she waits to see the fate of the remainder of the season, she admits it's been a hard call to give up the game.
"I love playing footy and it's a great bunch of girls, but I just think it hurts too much on Monday mornings," she said.
"I think I'll be hanging the boots up."
