Trained by Donna Scott, Mulofdubai was having his 14th career start in the $24,000 Class One and Maiden Hcp, (1600m).
Heywood pounced on the early lead and rated the gelding to perfection before quickly putting the race beyond doubt when unleashed over the final furlong.
The $2-favourite won by almost a length over Fromista and High Tribute.

Scott said Mulofdubai had been racing consistently this preparation without winning.
"That's the best way to ride him and he deserved that win," Scott said.
"He just got knocked off a couple of starts back when he led at Albury and Blaike (McDougall) stalked us and knocked us off as he tends to do when he is not on my horses.
"It was great to see the horse get another win especially for the owners who have hung in there and been patient with him.
"I kept telling them we would get another win and it's good to be able to deliver that today."
Mulofdubai's previous win was on his home track on Boxing Day last year.
"He has been a consistent horse and is never far away from the winner," she said.
"But the owners pay up and it's nice to get another win so they can put some money back in the bank.
"It's a tough industry and ultra-competitive to try and get a winner.
"But he is a lovely horse who deserved another win.
"I'd just like to thank the owners for being patient."
