Beechworth's Lemongrass Cafe is set to be closed for two weeks after it was informed a COVID-positive driver from Sydney attended its premises last week.
Eatery owner Jack Melbourne alerted the community via the Beechworth Community Facebook page on Wednesday night and stated a Sydney delivery driver attended the shop at 8.45am on Thursday, September 9.
"We now must home isolate for 14 days, so our business will be closed. This driver has visited many businesses in Victoria, so who knows where this will lead," the post said.
"Just to be clear: The driver visited our shop for about two minutes, a few words were spoken, there was no physical contact, we were all wearing masks, my wife and l sanitised our hands after he left.
"We have been fully vaccinated for around three weeks, so hopefully this has protected us, and in turn protected our customers and friends.

"We decided to have COVID tests earlier today (Wednesday) and will have the results tomorrow (Thursday).
"Just want to be open and clear about this for everyone's safety."
It's the second exposure site to be listed in the town within 24 hours after Chinese Village Restaurant took the action to close on Wednesday after being contacted by COVID trackers on Tuesday night.
In Facebook posts, the business stated the move was in response to a driver who visited the restaurant at 8.30am last Thursday.
The operators have been told to stay at home awaiting further instructions as to what tier level of exposure they may be.
