Recently retired sprinter News Girl has been sold.
News Girl fetched $375,000 when she went under the hammer in the Inglis Digital online auction on Wednesday night.
Two Bays Farm which is based on the Mornington Peninsula will be the new home of the Geoff Duryea-trained mare as she starts the next chapter of her career as a broodmare.
"We are delighted to have secured News Girl to join our exciting broodmare band," Two Bays Farm tweeted.
"Good looking, fast, high rating mares are hard to come by.

The large syndicate of owners were divided on whether to keep News Girl themselves as a broodmare.
