A Wodonga restaurant has been forced to close after it was visited by a delivery driver who was unaware he had COVID
Lee Corner Restaurant put out an alert to customers on its Facebook page on Thursday night.
"Our restaurant has been affected by a delivery driver who unknowingly was infectious with COVID during a recent delivery," it said.
"In the meantime, please be patient, we will fill out all necessary forms and complete all required cleaning procedures to the DHHS standards so we can open as soon as possible."
"This is only a little hurdle we are going through and will not set us back, we will come out stronger after this and look forward to seeing your faces with masks on and taking your orders again soon.
"We will keep everyone posted again when the DHHS gives us the all-clear to open. Hopefully very soon. Please take care and stay safe."
The news came just hours after Albury entered a snap seven day lockdown following two COVID cases.
COVID fragments were also found in sewerage at Wangaratta.
The detections could be the result of one or more people in these areas who have recovered from COVID-19 but are still shedding the virus, or the detections could be an undiscovered new case.
