With Albury under stay at home orders as of Thursday, agency Stean Nicholls transferred three auctions to the online format, but it didn't deter bidders.
A 1950s red brick home on Ebden Street fetched $840,000 after a heated bidding exchange between three potential buyers.
An opening offer was taken at $500,000 and quickly climbed to $600,000 before a massive jump from $690,000 to $750,000 put other purchasers on notice.

Bidding slowed but eventually reached a very healthy sale price of $840,000.
Auctioneer Jack Stean said the vendor was delighted with the result.
"At the time we were thinking it was around $650,000, maybe more, but our reserve was at the top end of our appraisal range and it just really went a little bit crazy," he said.
"I think it's got to do with the fact there really isn't much property available in South Albury any more, there's nothing really around.
A central Albury unit on Stanley Street, nearby the Botanic Gardens and Monument Hill, went under the hammer for $322,000.
"It was obviously a lower price point, but it was still more than 10 per cent above reserve, so the vendors were ecstatic there, which was nice," Mr Stean said.
A three-bedroom North Albury property on Frauenfelder Street was also sold above reserve at $590,000 by Stean Nicholls auctioneer Lachlan Hutchins.
Mr Stean said it had been a great year for auctions and believes the demand for property on the Border has been "a perfect storm" of factors.
"I don't see it slowing or changing," he said.
"It's not like in Melbourne where properties are selling $1 million over reserve, they're selling for what people are prepared to pay.
"Melbourne and Sydney buyers are restricted from coming here and we're restricted from going there, and while there's still interstate interest, a lot of today was more local buyers."
