STAR forward Trent Castles finished third in the Riverina league's Jim Quinn Medal last night.
The Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes spearhead, who kicked 71 goals in 11 matches for the Goannas, polled 15 votes to finish two behind joint winners Jacob Olsson (GGGM) and Jeremy Maslin (Coolamon).
Promising Lion Matt Hamblln came runner-up on 16 votes.
After missing pre-season due to a knee surgery, Olsson racked up all 17 of his votes in a purple patch from rounds four to 11, including five best-on-grounds.
Castles has kicked more than 1000 goals during his career, including four tons.
The left-footer started the century run with 108 for Yackandandah in 2015 and followed it up in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Hamblin, who took out last year's AFL Riverina Championships best and fairest, polled 11 votes in his last five games to fall agonisingly short.
