Shepparton United's Kade Chalcraft took out the John Byrne Medal as the best and fairest player, joining his brother Jye, who reached the same feat in 2019.
Albury's Charlie Byrne, Lavington's Macca Hallows and Shepparton Swans' Ethan Warburton were just one vote behind Chalcraft to share runner-up.
While Brown said Byrne and Hallows possess different traits, they were both equally as impressive this season.
"Charlie at his best is a very talented footballer," Brown said.
"He can do things on the footy field that a lot of people can't.
"Macca turns up every week and you know exactly what you're going to get from him.
"The gap between his best and worst is tiny and he just consistently plays really good football.
"It was a good result for both of those boys."
Lavington's Ben Ashley-Cooper claimed the Ashley Cox Most Determined Award after showing leadership as co-captain.
"He's probably our most natural leader," Brown said.

"He competes really hard and does all the things that coaches love."
Albury's William Bowden took out the coaches award after a solid season in the ruck, while fellow Tiger Cam McLeod was the leading goal kicker, booting 12.
Wangaratta Rovers' Darcy Wilson won the Leon Higgins medal as the Most Valuable Player for the under-16s, with Shepparton's Ach Agog awarded the Trainers award.
Brown praised all players for their resilience.
"It sounds funny bit it's probably been even worse than 2020 because of the stop-start nature of the season," he said.
"To keep turning up and training when you know that the opportunities won't necessarily be there, we've been really impressed by the entire group this year."
Brown said there's now a handful of players in contention for the AFL draft.
It comes after Dan Turner (Melbourne) and Paddy Parnell (Adelaide) were picked up mid-season.
"To have two drafted mid-season and hopefully another two, three or four to go in the November draft will be a great result for the club," Brown said.
