The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has announced four new venues of concern, all in Deniliquin, but says there are no new positive cases today.
The new exposure sites are:
- Big 4 Holiday Park (Deniliquin) - Lot 100 Ochtertyre Street, Tuesday September 28, between 2.45pm - 4.15pm and Wednesday September 29, between 1.45pm - 5.15pm
- Reject Shop (Denilquin) - 104-114 Hardinge Street, Monday September 27, between 8.45am - 9.20am and Tuesday September 28 between 3.15pm - 3.50pm
- GV Bargains (Denilquin) - 293-295 Cressy Street, Tuesday September 28, between 9.15am - 10.20am and 4.15pm - 4.50pm
- Coles (Denilquin) - 104 Hardinge Street, Wednesday September 29, between 8.15pm - 9.00pm
The MLHD also updated some times for previously listed exposure sites. The details below have been updated accordingly.
EARLIER
Six venues of concern have been named in Deniliquin after the region recorded its first COVID cases in the Delta outbreak this week.
Two residents in the Edward River Council local government area tested positive yesterday bringing the total in the region to three.
Contract tracing has been underway since the positive tests and the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) has now listed multiple exposure sites.

Anyone who has visited any of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and should immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

- HQV Bargains (Deniliquin) - 193 Cressy Street on Wednesday, September 29 between 12:25pm and 1:15pm
- Nextra Newsagency (Deniliquin) - 249 Cressy Street on Wednesday, September 29 between 1pm and 1.10pm and on Monday, September 27 between 10am and 10:30am.
- Mitre 10 (Deniliquin) - 98 Hardinge Street on Tuesday, September 28 between 3:40pm and 4:10pm
- Total Bliss (Deniliquin) - 3/344-354 Cressy Street on Monday, September 27 between 12:30pm and 1:45pm
- Soul Pattinson Chemist (Deniliquin) - 289 Cressy Street on Monday, September 27 between 10:05am and 10:40am
The MLHD urged the Deniliquin community to be vigilant in mask wearing, hand hygiene and social distancing, get tested if they have the mildest of symptoms, and if eligible, come forward for vaccination as soon as possible.
Testing is available at the rear of Deniliquin Hospital on Sunday and Monday Sunday between 9am and 2pm.
A list of venues of public concern in the MLHD identified so far during the contact tracing process is available online via the health district's website.
