UPDATE
There are currently 705 people in hospital in Victoria with COVID-19, 147 in ICU and 92 on a ventilator.
Yesterday 79,200 tests processed, a daily record for the state.
Health Minister Martin Foley said there were 38,072 vaccines administered through state run vaccination clinics and many more through partnerships with GPs and pharmacists.
As of yesterday, 87.1 per cent of people aged over 16 have had one dose of COVID vaccine and 60.9 per cent were fully vaccinated.
Mitchell Shire is being released from lockdown from midnight tonight.
PREVIOUSLY
Victoria has recorded 1571 new local COVID cases and 13 deaths.
One case was acquired in hotel quarantine.
Northeast Health Wangaratta confirmed four new Tier One exposure sites had been listed in the region.
A positive case had attended the venues, but the health service said it had no additional information about the positive case at this time.

The service advised if you attended these venues during the times listed you must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.
- Wangaratta RSL on 6 October from 4.30pm -5pm
- Pinsent Hotel on 6 October from 5.02pm - 8.30pm
- The Old Town and Country Tavern on 7 October from 5.34pm - 11pm
- The Old Town and Country Tavern on 6 October from 8.45pm - 11pm
Testing is available at the Wangaratta Showgrounds.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The government has earmarked $255 million for a new hospital surge support allowance for healthcare workers treating infected patients.
The allowance of up to $60 per shift for the next four months begins from this week.
The government will also spend another $2.5 million to recruit up to 1000 international healthcare workers, and expects 60 per cent of those recruits will be Australians already working overseas.
Victoria recorded 1466 infections on Tuesday.
Four men and four women died, bringing the toll from the current outbreak to 101.
