The father of a toddler who died in an all-terrain vehicle roll-over on Christmas Day will plead not guilty to charges including culpable driving.
Chris Browne appeared before the Wodonga Magistrates Court in relation to the Barnawartha incident.
Lawyer Tom Danos said his client would plead not guilty to each of the charges.
"We do not require a committal hearing at all, my client has instructed that he's prepared to proceed on the basis of a hand-up brief," he said.
Magistrate Ian Watkins said the matter would go to the County Court for a directions hearing on November 24.
"I'm satisfied on the basis of the brief that there is evidence of sufficient weight to support the charges in this matter," he said.
Browne's current bail conditions were extended for the upcoming trial.
