Under the NSW road map of 70 per cent double dose, hairdressers could only welcome a maximum of five fully vaccinated clients, but that has reverted back to density limits.
Albury Business Connect general manager Lisa Hastie welcomed the change, but said it was important the community didn't regress.
She encouraged people to get tested if they experienced symptoms to reduce the risk of any temporary closures.
"Businesses are very keen to make the most of the upcoming Christmas trade period," Ms Hastie said.
"Businesses need individuals to respect the steps of the road map and be kind to the front line staff and business owners," Ms Hastie said.

"They have had a very tough 18 months. Please don't make it more difficult.
"Be patient over the coming weeks as we move closer to the December 1 milestone (with more freedoms for unvaccinated people)."
Regional Victorian businesses will receive a slight boost ahead of the weekend with the state set to hit the 70 per cent fully vaccinated target by Thursday.
Pubs, clubs and entertainment venues can open to 30 vaccinated people indoors.
The same limits apply to wedding venues with 30 vaccinated people allowed indoors and 100 outdoors.
Wodonga Retailers president and owner of Exact Computers and Home Entertainment Greg Haysom is glad to see some positive news for cafes and other hospitality venues.
"I don't think retail will change much, but at least retail is open," Mr Haysom said.
All of Victoria will come out of lockdown at 11.59pm on Thursday.
