The former Corryong youngster was picked up by the Kangaroos with pick 17 in the 2010 National draft.
Atley played 234 matches at Arden Street and sits 21st in the club's longest serving players.
He is one of 33-players to notch the 200-match milestone with the Kangaroos.
The 29-year-old played 20 matches this season.

Atley highlighted his durability by missing on 11 matches in his 11 seasons at the elite level.
"You couldn't get a more committed and popular club man than Shaun," North Melbourne football manager Brady Rawlings said.
"He would always put team success above his own ambitions, even though he's been a great player for us in his own right.
"Although he played his best footy as a defender, we've used Shaun all over the park across his career."
Atley wore the No. 18 throughout his career made famous by Wayne Carey.
