Albury Wodonga Health reported 39 cases in Wodonga, despite Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton earlier stating there were 36 new cases.
Albury recorded 40 new cases of COVID-19.
In addition to the Albury cases, Murrumbidgee Local Health District reported three cases in Greater Hume, one in Wagga and one in Berrigan.
Four new cases were recorded in Wangaratta.
There has been a total of 393 cases and two deaths recorded in the MLHD since the start of the current outbreak. These include 301 in Albury LGA, 25 in Hilltops LGA, 15 in Edward River LGA, 21 in the Greater Hume LGA, eight in Murray River LGA, seven in Federation LGA, four in Wagga Wagga LGA, eight in Berrigan LGA, one in Griffith LGA, two in Coolamon LGA and one in Murrumbidgee LGA.
Albury Wodonga Health said the majority of Wodonga cases were linked, often being a Primary Close Contact of a known positive case or residing in the same household.
It comes as a number of cases continue to emerge from Border and North East school.

Ms Ludford said workers should also consider wearing masks in offices to limit possible spread of the virus, despite it no longer being a requirement under NSW public health orders.
Ms Ludford confirmed just 24 per cent of eligible children are vaccinated against COVID-19 and from tomorrow the health service would be hosting a 'Kids Health Week' to help improve that rate.
