Albury Wodonga Health has released information about a death in a COVID patient recorded this week at their hospital.

In a statement released this afternoon, AWH said the family involved had given consent for the death to be reported but no further details would be released at this time.
"It is with sadness that Albury Wodonga Health reports the death of a COVID-positive person at the Albury Base Hospital earlier this week," chief executive Michael Kalimnios said.
"The individual, who was aged in their 80s, had underlying medical conditions.
"They had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
"We extend our sincere thoughts and condolences to their family and friends."
It is the fourth death reported in the current outbreak; three deaths have been reported in Mercy Place Albury residents.
The third death at Mercy Place was reported today by Murrumbidgee Local Health District chief executive Jill Ludford.
"Sadly, I have to report today that a man in his 70s has passed away yesterday, as he's acquired the COVID infection," she said.

"He had received one dose of the COVID vaccination and I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and to the community."
Seven people are currently hospitalised with COVID-19 at Albury Wodonga Health; one now in intensive care and the six others are being managed in the new COVID ward.
