No charges after man shot dead while hunting deer in North East

Police are treating the April incident as an accident.

A Gippsland man, 37, died after accidentally being shot in the stomach by a 52-year-old Melbourne man in his hunting party.

The evidence has been assessed and no charges have been laid against the shooter at this stage.
