NSW police said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene south of Thurgoona Drive and just west of the Hume Highway, at about 12.30pm.
IN OTHER NEWS:
On arrival officers attached to the Murray River Police District found a man deceased.
The driver and observer of the train were taken to hospital for mandatory testing and are assisting police with their inquiries.
