Having won the Hume league goal-kicking title, Terlich hit 106 off 103 balls for Henty against Brocklesby-Burumbuttock.
"It's good to start with a ton," he said. "They don't come around very often so you enjoy all of them!
"Having not played cricket for eight months, I was a bit scratchy at the start and I didn't get to 50 until after drinks but then I got going a bit more.
"I took it upon myself to make sure we batted our 40 overs.
"We talked about it before the game because our start to last season was pretty slow and we didn't bat 40 overs for a while so that was the main goal."
Henty made 9/198 but lost the game by one wicket.
"We probably bowled 25 extras and dropped a couple of catches, which ends up costing you, but we've got a young team and there's plenty of room for them to improve," Terlich said.
