Albury Wodonga has recorded 50 new cases and two deaths in the 24 hours to 8pm on Thursday.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District revealed a woman in her 90s died at Mercy Place where she acquired her infection. She was fully vaccinated and is the sixth death linked to the aged care facility's outbreak.
Another woman in her 80s died at Southern Cross Care in Albury. She had received one dose of a COVID vaccine.
Twenty-two new cases were recorded in Wodonga, and 28 in Albury.
One case was recorded in federation Shire and three in Wangaratta.
Eight patients are currently in hospital with COVID-19
