UPDATE:
Mercy Place has confirmed a third resident with COVID died on Sunday night.
There have been nine deaths linked to the aged care facilities COVID outbreak.
"On Friday afternoon, our home was mourning the deaths of two of our Mercy Place Albury residents. Sadly, another resident died on Sunday night," a statement said.
"All three had been managing significant health issues and had tested positive to COVID-19 in the past two weeks."
The third death will be reported in tomorrow's MLHD case figures.
In total, 30 residents and six staff members have tested positive to the virus.
About 11 residents who tested positive have been cleared and there are now ten active resident cases of the virus. More are expected to be cleared later today.
PREVIOUSLY
Two more Mercy Place residents have died with COVID.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District confirmed a woman in her 80s who had received one dose of a COVID vaccine, and a woman in her 90s who was fully vaccinated, died at the aged care facility.
Both women acquired their infection at the facility.
Eight Mercy Place residents have now died.
It comes as 20 new cases were recorded in Albury in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.
In Wodonga, 12 new cases were reported.
One case was recorded in Wangaratta.
Two cases were reported in Wagga, while Federation and Edward River shires both recorded one new case.
