A Culcairn teenager who kicked a car window, the flying glass cutting the driver, was a heavy drinker at the time, a court has heard.
But defence lawyer Jaimee Simonsen said the teenager had since cut his alcohol use "down to barely anything".

"The binge drinking does not occur as at that time," Ms Simonsen has told Albury Children's Court.
The now 18-year-old was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond on charges of destroy or damage property and assault.
The incident happened at Gerogery on February 12 after the victim dropped-off some people at a party about 10.30pm.
Before he smashed the window, the youth walked over to the victim's car, calling out "driver, driver", then aggressively tried to grab his phone.
Police said the youth then punched the victim to the face.
