But health authorities have been quick to warn residents COVID is still in the community.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District chief executive officer Jill Ludford said it was 'fantastic news'.
Ms Ludford said a 'good percentage' of the Albury population had tested positive to COVID in the past month, and thanked schools for working alongside the health service to control the outbreak.
"I do want to reach out and thank the community, who have really done an extraordinary number of testing and isolation periods," she said.
"We will continue to see cases come and go [in Albury], just because we've had one day at zero doesn't mean it's gone, it's still there."
