Ten new cases of COVID were recorded in Yarrawonga.
There are currently 97 active cases in the Yarrawonga border region.
In total 84 new cases of COVID were recorded in Albury-Wodonga in the seven day to Friday, inclusive.
In the previous week, 168 cases were recorded in the Twin Cities.
Albury cases dropped from 104 in the week previous to 57 this week.
Cases in Wodonga dropped from 64 last week to 14 in the seven days to Friday, inclusive.
Wangaratta's seven-day COVID tally dropped from 25 cases last week to nine.
The number of cases in Indigo dropped from 20 the week previous, to just five this week. There were no cases in either Berrigan or Towong in the seven days to Friday, inclusive.
However the number of cases in Murray River and Federation shires increased from six to eight, and nine to 27 respectively.
PREVIOUSLY
A man in his 80s who acquired his COVID infection at Corowa Hospital has died.
The man has received a single dose of COVID vaccine and died at Albury Base Hospital.
Albury recorded three new cases of COVID in the 24 hours to 8pm, while six were reported in Federation, two in Wagga and one each in Griffith and Murray River.
Four cases were recorded in Wodonga, one in Wangaratta and two in Indigo shire.

The Murrumbidgee Local Health District has congratulated Albury residents as the city's COVID-19 outbreak continues to decline.
Albury recorded 11 cases on Thursday, down from a peak of 48 last month.
Three cases were recorded in Wodonga and one in Federation shire yesterday.
One new case was recorded in Yarrawonga.
