But defence lawyer Mitchell Brooks has told magistrate Miranda Moody that Michael Raymond Green "has no issues with returning back to court for sentence".
Green's offending was confirmed after police were granted a warrant for both optical and audio surveillance.
IN OTHER NEWS:
This revealed the now 37-year-old discussing his business with a woman he wanted to take part, before they shared methamphetamine.
Green, of Vickers Road, has pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court to a single charge of supplying a prohibited drug, at greater than an indictable but less than a commercial quantity.
But he won't go before the District Court in Albury until January 10, after Ms Moody ordered the preparation of a sentence assessment report.
The court was told how police formed "Strike Force Adige" in 2020 to investigate the supply of methamphetamine in the Albury-Wodonga area.
After police were granted the warrant, they installed surveillance devices inside a house in Koonwarra Street, North Albury.
Green went to the property on June 5 about 6.15pm, went inside and sat on a couch with the woman, who was also charged, and a man "known to police".
"The accused spoke with (the woman) about dealing gear, people owing them money and how to get money from people who owed them," police said.
It was then that they shared the "ice" pipe.
The woman then told Green that her "usual" supplier "didn't have any gear".
"I can leave you this half-ounce now, if you want," he replied.
Green and the woman continued talking, with Green telling her he expected she would reap $150 to $200 a day once they "got it going".
Green handed a bag containing the half-ounce, or about 14 grams, of methamphetamine to the woman about 6.45pm.
Ms Moody continued bail for Green.
