Thirty scholarships are being offered by Charles Sturt University and Albury Council to nurture emerging leaders in the community.
Applications are now open on the university's website for the AlburyCity Leadership and Resilience Scholarship, involving development days in March and June.
Charles Sturt external engagement director Samantha Beresford said the program focused on leadership and resilience.
"These courses are designed to develop emerging and current leaders to be able to drive positive change in their community," she said.
Albury mayor Kevin Mack said the training was more important given recent challenges faced.
