The council bought the pub in the Olympics year for $30,000 and Brocklesby Community Inc. was established to run the hotel.
Last month, Brocklesby Community Inc notified council of its desire to relocate the licence to the town's recreation reserve which is used primarily by Brock-Burrum Football-Netball Club.
