Albury Wodonga Health reported one other new case in its catchment, a Wangaratta person who is a household contact of a known case.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District revealed three new cases in the same period, one an Albury resident and two in Wagga.
Both health services said no COVID-positive patients were in hospital.
"In total, Albury-Wodonga Local Public Health Unit is reporting 17 active COVID-19 cases across its catchment," Albury Wodonga Health said in a statement.
"We understand many people are looking forward to travelling and welcoming visitors in coming weeks.
"For those who require PCR tests, at least one of our Wodonga clinics will be open during the festive period, with the exception of Christmas Day."
On Thursday Yarrawonga Health reported no new cases and 12 active cases in its community.

The eighth case, who arrived on a flight from Singapore, was confirmed overnight.
Albury Wodonga Health said there were 235 COVID-19 tests conducted on Thursday, following 215 tests on Wednesday and 307 and 391 the previous two days.
The testing spike earlier this week is believed to be linked to a known case in a school setting, with people being notified on Sunday afternoon and asked to get tested.
