Wodonga batter Will Ashton and Wodonga Raiders' all-rounder Jack Stewart have just been named in the Victoria Country under 17 cricket team.

The duo would normally contest the national championships, but COVID has consigned the side to a mini-carnival, involving Victoria Metro, combined Victoria and South Australia, from January 10-13 in Bendigo.
Stewart was part of the Vic Country under 15 outfit, which won the national title in 2019-20, while Ashton, who travels from Wangaratta, is a newcomer to this level.
