QUEEN'S GAME
'Battle of the Border' Carriage Driving at 'Lumeah', 13813 Hume Hwy, Mullengandra, December 11 and 12

More than 80 entries of magnificent horses and carriage driving teams from four states will battle out for prestigious trophies through three phases - dressage, cones and marathon. With Her Majesty The Queen's approval, The HRH Prince Phillip Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the best overall score by an intermediate or open competitor. Spectators are welcome and admission is free. While out enjoying the competition and beautiful country at 'Lumeah', you can also stroll through the market and buy food.
TASTE CULTURE
TABLE at Murray Art Museum Albury, Dean Street, December 11, 11am to 12pm.
TABLE is a rotating foyer installation hosting weekly recipe demonstrations by local cooks, and it's Inuuywa Mama's turn this Saturday. This demonstration forms part of SIMMER which explores the links between culture and food. You should also see 'And tomorrow the beauty returns', a reflection on recovery after the 2019/20 Black Summer bushfires. This is the first weekend the exhibition Kirrily Anderson is open.

SMOOTH SOUNDS
Royal Australian Navy Band, The Cube Wodonga, December 11, 2pm
The Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne Jazz Ensemble features some of Navy's finest jazz musicians. The group includes a rhythm section, trumpet, saxophone, trombone and vocalist. Some tickets remain and can be purchased at The Cube Wodonga's website.

Get your Christmas shopping done in Wangaratta, with the tradition of free parking for the festive season restarting this weekend. The initiative means more than ever to business after a tough few years. Parking will be free in the CBD until January, although time limits still apply.
