Best friends renew a sporting rivalry at Winton Motor Raceway this weekend.
Mark Tracey and Cory Gillett will go head-to-head in the Thundersports category, tackling six races as part of a 19-strong field.
The national championship, for grassroots racers, will see the Albury-based pair up against drivers from Melbourne and other capital cities at the Victorian circuit.
"They're the best of mates and they don't rub panels or anything like that but once the helmet goes on, the red mist comes up and they're into it," Cory's father Rob Gillett said.

"It's their first race for the year in Thundersports because of what's happened due to COVID, so it'll be great restart the rivalry back on track.
"They've got a lot on their plate with six races but we can't wait to see how the competition shapes up."
The first race of the weekend is at 10:50am on Saturday.
