
A 42-year-old Springdale Heights man has been charged after allegedly defrauding the Rand-Walbundrie-Walla Football Club of more than $184,000.
In May 2020, officers from Murray River Police District commenced an investigation after reports a sports club in Walbundrie had allegedly been defrauded by an employee of $184,950.
Police were told the fraud involved 42 unauthorised transactions from the club's bank accounts between April 2017 and March 2020.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice on Friday to appear in Albury Court on January 24 over 42 offences of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.
Police will allege in court the man made 42 transactions from the club's bank accounts into another account, which he had access to.
