Event founder Jo Prothero said many women had a bad first experience on a mountain bike, but the MTB de femme event was designed to counter that.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We've all been there, riding their partners 'old' bike and following them down a technical trail, scaring the pants off them, leaving them never wanting to get back on the bike again!" she said.
"MTB de femme is all about changing that."
The women's only event aims to create a safe and friendly environment for women to try mountain biking, improve their skills and build their confidence.

Coffee, lunch and champagne are also on the agenda. The event was launched in 2015 and ran annually to 2019, but had to be cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of the COVID pandemic.
More than 100 women attended the 2019 event across the two-day weekend.
"There is something for everyone," Ms Prothero said.
"You can sign up for the social ride aspect, or a full day, or right the way through to the entire weekend."

Ms Prothero said the event would run from March 4 to March 6, 2022.
She encouraged women to sign up.
"We are super pumped to be getting back out on the trails at Falls with lots of familiar faces and encourage you to book early so you don't miss out on this rad weekend," she said.
Tickets will be on sale in coming weeks and range in price from $10 to $279 per person.
