Walk one day, or all three. Walk 75 kilometres from Beechworth to Bright, or just the last 5 kilometres to the finish line ... but let's do it together.
Let's walk and talk to stamp out the stigma and stop the number of lives lost to suicide, urges B2B founder Lisa Cartledge.
Registrations for the 2022 B2B walk (March 25 - 27) open on January 1.
This year organisers are urging anyone who "isn't in to the distance" but is committed to the cause to embrace the Hop On, Hop Off Dyson support bus available for those needing rest breaks along the way.
That's because at its heart, B2B aims to "walk, talk and support" those affected by mental illness and suicide.
Mental health supports are more desperately needed than ever ...
- B2B founder Lisa Cartledge
The event, which began in 2018 with Mrs Cartledge's epic 700-kilometre walk from Beechworth to the Sydney Harbour Bridge in honour of her late husband Sean, hopes to eliminate stigma, improve healing, promote treatment and prevent suicide.
Mrs Cartledge said sadly the critical need for suicide prevention measures had not diminished, and particularly since the onset of COVID-19.
"Mental health supports are more desperately needed than ever," she said.
"With our walk we want to aid prevention, awareness, healing and support for survivors of suicide."
