
A man wanted by police following an alleged stabbing in Wodonga is in custody after more than 30 hours on the run.
Detectives issued a public appeal to find Wodonga man David Kitson in relation to Tuesday night's incident.
Murray River Police District Inspector Scott Russell said a 38-year-old man wanted for a serious assault was taken into custody at 2.45pm on Thursday.
"NSW police effected the arrest without incident at a West Albury address," he said.
Victorian investigators are expected to seek extradition.
They were called to the corner of Lawrence and Lyndren Street at about 9.45pm on Tuesday after a man, 33, and teenager, 17, were allegedly stabbed.
Both victims were taken to hospital, with the younger man being discharged.
