Albury Swim Centre was battered by wind and rain although the A-grade matches were able to be completed, with the top-of-the-table women's clash providing great entertainment.
Sharks raced into a 3-0 lead against Pool Pirates but it was all square by the start of the second quarter and Pirates led 7-5 at the final change.
However, the Sharks showed why they're top of the ladder by fighting back and scoring with 30 seconds remaining to win 10-9.
Leah Dodd scored five goals and there were two for Brooke Dickie, while Chelsea Isaac netted four for Pirates.
Matilda Smith and Phoebe Ziebarth both found the target three times for Albury Tigers in their 11-2 victory over Wodonga/Northside.
Goals from Hannah Avage (two), Isabelle Rae, Charlotte Hopp and Lucy McInnes completed the rout.
Albury Tigers' lead in the men's competition has been cut to two points after they were beaten 6-5 by Sharks.
William Gould led the way for Sharks with three goals while Joshua Gould, Michael Kelly and Oliver Cooper netted once apiece.

The Tigers, behind for almost the whole game, replied through James Scannell (two), Lachlan Dowding, Tom Duck and Ben Land.
That opened the door for second-placed Northside to take advantage, which they duly did by hammering Pool Pirates 15-4.
Elih Mutsch helped himself to seven goals and Rex Gallaher netted four, with Sam Beddoes bagging a couple.
