In its weekly update, the MLHD said there are currently 103 active cases across the district.
"The majority of cases are linked to a known cluster or household contact," the MLHD said.
MLHD said people diagnosed with COVID-19 will receive an SMS text message from NSW Health telling them of their diagnosis and providing specific health advice, but not everyone will receive a telephone call due to the high number of COVID cases.
"In the text message a COVID case receives, they will be asked to answer a short survey. This survey will be used to determine who NSW Health will call for a history of exposure risks," MLHD said.
Albury Wodonga Health's visitor restrictions remain unchanged as COVID-19 cases continue to rise in NSW and Victoria.
AWH director of nursing and midwifery Linda Hudec said Albury Wodonga Health continued to follow visitor restrictions in accordance with the Victorian Department of Health.
"AWH's current visitor policy remains unchanged and currently allows visitors for a small number of permitted reasons, including end of life care and support during birth and Maternity ward, ICU and for patients under the age of 18 years of age," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We understand the current visitor restrictions are very challenging for families with loved ones in hospital care, and especially during the holiday period.
