A group of 30 players travelled down to Melbourne and were put through their paces in standing and running vertical jumps, a 20-metre sprint test, agility test and the notorious yo-yo test.
"We went quite well right across the board," Bushies assistant coach Mario de Santa-ana enthused.
"We had three girls in the top six in the state in terms of the yo-yo test, all three of them from the North East. They smashed it.
"We had a couple in the top six in the agility test and our girls performed really well also in the jumps as well.
"Zarlie Goldsworthy is a phenomenal athlete and she killed all the tests. As expected, she hit a 17 yo-yo, which is classified as elite.
"Zarlie will play midfield for us, she'll be an on-baller, changing down forward.

"Alexandra Jackson, who's 15, is a sensational runner and she also ran a 17 yo-yo at the testing.
"She'll probably play on a wing or a half-forward flank for us because she can run all day, she's got a huge engine.
"The two others who really stand out are Zara Hamilton and Keeley Skepper.
"Zara was in the AFL academy last year and she ran a 17.2 yo-yo, which puts her in the top three or four in the country. I think there's some interest in her going forward.
"Keely, a Barnawartha girl, played for Vic Country under-17s and under-19s last year and she's in the under-19 squad again this year.
"We're expecting big things from her as well."
