An emergency warning has been issued on Sunday for the Mundaring Shire, about 50km east of Perth, for a fire putting lives and homes at risk.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is warning people in parts of Wooroloo and Chidlow that homes are in peril and they "need to act immediately to survive".
An emergency warning has also been issued for a bushfire threatening residents in the Augusta-Margaret River Shire, about 300 kilometres south of Perth.
Authorities have urged people to leave parts of Treeton and Osmington immediately if the way is clear, or prepare to shelter in their homes if they cannot.
The warning was increased from the watch-and-act level on Sunday afternoon due to weather conditions and the fire growing on heavy fuel loads.
Evacuation centres have been established in both areas for people escaping the fires.
The warnings come as the state endures a spell of hot weather, with Perth recording maximum temperatures of 42C and 43C on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Also on Sunday, firefighters managed to contain a bushfire threatening homes southeast of Perth.
A watch and act warning was in place for people parts of the Armadale area with the unpredictable blaze a possible threat to lives and homes, but the warning was downgraded to advice level.
