Nick Mellington has nominated the Tigers as his second club, but will play primarily with Williamstown at state level.
"There's obviously that family connection and I know Nick has said he's been impressed with what he's heard about the club from family," Tigers' co-coach Anthony Miles offered.
There's obviously that family connection and I know Nick has ... been impressed with what he's heard.

"It's great that Nick has chosen us, but realistically I think we will be lucky to see him playing for Albury next year."
Miles joined Richmond AFL in 2014, the same year Mellington debuted for the Tigers at state level while captaining the Murray Bushrangers junior representative outfit.
Miles played 61 senior AFL games with the Tigers over a five-year stint, but also played at the state level.
Mellington played 28 games for the Tigers, leaving the club after 2016, where he joined Coburg and racked up another 32 games in the powerful VFL.
He then joined Williamstown and played in the 2019 grand final alongside Willie Wheeler and Leigh Masters, who joined Yarrawonga after that loss.
Midfielder Mellington is known as a hard-running left-footer, who's regarded as a natural leader and selfless player.
While it's unlikely he will play much, if at all, with the Tigers in next year's crack O and M competition, most clubs now work on the theory if they entice a state player to join on a part-time basis, they will be in the box seat to snare his signature if he decides to move away from the higher standard.
