The singer told the 1000-strong crowd that she wanted to tell them something she had only told her friends.
She then introduced her partner and stage technician, Jimmy Bedford, telling the crowd he proposed last week.
Tones and I said the pair had not announced the enjoyment on social media and she had been swapping her engagement ring to different fingers for previous shows.
"I want you guys to be the first to know," she said to the exuberant crowd.
Tones and I also vowed to return to Albury during her October tour later this year.
"This is easiest the biggest crowd I've had on this tour," said Tones and I.
Crews were also filming the show for Netflix.
The singer kicked off her show with a basketball competition for children before singing Flyaway, a cover of Outkast's Hey Ya, Never Seen the Rain, Cloudy Day, Johnny Run Away and a slowed-down piano rendition of her hit Dance Monkey.
IN OTHER NEWS:
For Border residents the gig, which most of them found out via Instagram on Friday, was a great start to 2022.
Albury's Anneliese Mason and son Billy, 2, arrived early to secure a spot in the shade.
"It's pretty cool she's doing a free show when she's such a huge international artist," Ms Mason said.
Fans Maddie Gason, 20, of Albury, and Taelah Willet, 18, of Corowa, had never seen Tones and I perform live before.
"It's pretty cool, very, very exciting considering we haven't been able to do much in ages," Ms Willet said.
"We saw her (Instagram) story yesterday and decided to come," Ms Gason said.
Cobram's Chrissie Kalz and Jess Gannaway woke early to travel from Melbourne to Albury for the show. The pair had been in Melbourne to see Moulin Rouge but had the show cancelled half-way through due to a COVID case.
"We made the decision to dash back here to come and see her as we missed her in Geelong yesterday," Ms Gannaway said.
The pair were hoping Tones and I would sign their Madhouse album.
"Tones and I is awesome and a legend for doing this," Ms Kalz said.
Astrid Guerin, 5, of Rand, was excited to see Tones and I play her favourite song, Dance Monkey.
