After the East Albury youngster visited the National Gallery of Victoria's exhibition just before Christmas, her Dad enrolled her in a three-day workshop with Krystal Kaye Designs.
"I really like fashion," Artemis said.
"I'm learning to sew a skirt today.
"I bought my material from Spotlight ... I absolutely love animals especially cats."
Ms Kaye teamed up with the Thurgoona Community Centre last year to offer the workshops, with TCC purchasing the sewing machines.
"We're on a mission to reach as many little creatives as possible and help them learn how to sew and to be able to make their own impression on fashion," she said.
"To me, fashion is art and a creative thing - everyone should be expressing their own self rather than being told what to wear.
"We learn a lot of different things in sewing, including pattern-making."
IN OTHER NEWS:
There are two locations for the workshops - the TCC and Ms Kaye's studio.
Spaces are available next week.
