The Wangaratta Rovers’ four-time premiership coach and six-time premiership player has become the first inductee upgraded to legend in the eight-year history of the O and M Hall Of Fame.
Hogan was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in its inaugural year in 2005.
In the same year, long-serving administrator Cleaver Bunton entered the Hall of Fame as a legend and was joined by five-time Morris Medallist Robbie Walker as a legend in 2007 when he became eligible for induction.
Hogan was an original inductee with the late Bob Rose (Wangaratta Rovers), Norm Minns (Wangaratta, Benalla) and Jim Sandral (Corowa).
His elevation to legend status will be announced this morning in the lead-up to the next induction night on July 18 at the SS&A Club.
He is a current member of the Hall of Fame committee.
