Luka Doncic racked up a second straight triple-double - his 12th of the season - on his way to a game-high 37 points (12 rebounds, 11 assists), but it was not enough to keep his Mavericks in touch.
Jaylen Brown added 25 points for the Celtics, who made 21 threes.
They lead the NBA at 47-12.
"We know if we play the game the right way, there's a lot of options out there," Brown said, adding that March is when the Celtics "start to take it up a notch".
"We're confident in the game plan and we're confident in our ability to read the game. And we've been doing that pretty much all year."
Mavericks guard Dante Exum (knee) had his first action since January 26, the Australian scoring four points in 15 minutes on court.
His countryman Duop Reath enjoyed a night to remember, scoring 18 points as his Portland Trail Blazers won 122-92 in Memphis.
