Impaired drivers put off the road in police operations
Police caught seven drink drivers and six drug drivers in Wodonga, plus nine drink drivers and eight drug drivers in Wangaratta during Operation Nexus, which finished yesterday. More here
Real hope the focus of Parkinson’s seminar in Albury today
Simon Lewis, professor of cognitive neuroscience at the Brain and Mind Research Institute, University of Sydney, said when he began Parkinson’s research in 2000, people said a cure would come within five years.
“Well, those five years went, the next five years came,” he said.
Professor Lewis and Associate Professor David Finkelstein will talk at a seminar being presented by Parkinson’s Victoria and The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Albury today. More here

Albury Wodonga Theatre Company is less than a month away from staging Wicked, the biggest musical the Border has seen. Wicked will be staged with four evening performances on Wednesday, May 17, Thursday 18, Friday 19, Saturday 20 and two matinees performances on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2017 at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
