Lumsden has been nominated alongside Adam Brand and The Outlaws, Sara Storer (Silos), The Wolfe Brothers (This Crazy Life) and Bill Chambers (Cold Trail).
She has just released her third single – Bravest of Hearts – off the ARIA-nominated album.
“All my family came from the land and I thought that was something that should be celebrated,” Lumsden said of the song.
Lumsden and her band the Thrillseekers are travelling eastern Australia on their fifth Country Halls Tour and will perform at Carabost hall on November 4 and at Thowgla hall in the Upper Murray on Saturday, November 5.
Many shows have sold out, and tickets are selling fast for the Thowlga show.
“There’s something really special and almost nostalgic about the shows. We cannot wait to get out there again,” she said.
