Corowa Golf Club welcomed more than 300 players on Saturday and Sunday for the seventh staging of the event, with even more enjoying sportman’s function on Saturday night.
Sydney premiership coach John Longmire was joined by past greats Peter Daicos and Keith Greig for the main act of the weekend.
Fraser admitted the lineup would rival any sportsman’s night in the country.
“It was definitely one of the best ones we’ve had,” Fraser said.
“To have a premiership coach and current coach of the AFL (Longmire), as well as household names in AFL, Peter Daicos and Keith Greig, was great.
“They all fed off each other really well and had a different story to tell.
“With John Longmire being from Corowa and going to school with (tournament organiser) Shaun Whitechurch, it was brilliant to finish off the night with those two.
“When John was talking you could hear a pin drop, but at the same time everyone was in fits of laughter, it was a great night.”

Fraser had a very different perspective at this year’s tournament given it was the first time he hadn’t played in it.
“It was the one year I really wanted to play because of the weather,” he laughed.
“It was beautiful out there on Saturday, it was 26 and 30 today (Sunday), it would have been nice.
“But it’s been nice and relaxed and quite enjoyable floating around mingling with everyone.
“We’ve had over 300 players each day again and there’s a lot of people that keep coming back.”
Fraser believes the event has gradually improved each year.
“Our main goal is to obviously raise as much money for the club as we can, but at the same time we want to make sure everyone has a good time and enjoys the great facility we’ve got here,” he said.
“We’ve been so lucky that pretty much everyone has given up their time for nothing to come and do it.
“To have the names we’ve had over the past seven years to come and help out has been incredible.
“We’ve tried to mix it up as much as we can so it doesn’t get stale in any way.”
Fraser will now enjoy some time away in Bali on his first family holiday with his wife and children.
