Wing attack Ainslee O’Connell has moved to the Sunshine Coast due to employment, defender Kate Yensch is pregnant and shooter Alison Meani has retired.
Skye Hillier will return for the Panthers after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament in the club’s 2017 grand final loss to Yarrawonga.
Former player Ange DeMamiel has also signaled her intentions to line-up.
Lavington coach Tamara Mathews said the Panthers were looking forward to 2019.
“Kate is obviously a huge loss, Ainslee’s been with us for a long time and is a good player and Al is an experienced player too,” Mathews said.
“It will open up the door for a couple of new ones to come in which is good.
“Getting Skye back helps fill the spot Al leaves.
“She has played with Sarah Senini before so that will be exciting having her back with Maggie (Young) and Sarah.”
Yensch will co-coach Lavington’s under-16s.
“We have got our squad together but haven’t finalised our sides yet,” Mathews said.
Meanwhile, Wodonga’s Kylie Murphy has returned to Yackandandah.
Murphy was one of the Bulldogs’ few experienced players last season with coach Shea Cunningham hoping some of the club’s youngsters can step up.
“We have been pretty stable over the off-season,” Cunningham said.
“Kylie has gone back to Yack for a season with her kids coming up through the grades and Jess Miles has finished Year 12 and is doing a bit of travel.
“We’ll be young again but the girls have a year of netball under their belts.
“We are still looking for players so if players didn’t make it at trials at other clubs we would love to hear from them.”
